Job description
Air Reserve TechnicianThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, in conjunction with the Production Superintendent (Pro Super), to assign priorities to aircraft production efforts, to direct action to resolve resource shortages, to maintain liaison among aircraft maintenance management, and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. Duties include: providing both present and projected status information to prescribed managerial personnel, maintaining liaison with the Maintenance Coordinating Function (MCF) of the Command Post, noting projected completion date and informing higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready, determining status of aircraft through various communication methods, maintaining MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements, conducting training and skill level progression of Air Force Reservists, accomplishing aircraft debriefing to ensure malfunctions identified by aircrews are properly reported and documented, and working to achieve and support quality improvements in assigned areas of responsibility.
