Responsibilities

You will lead the planning, technical integration, development, and installation oversight of SWFTS modernization efforts across the strategic submarine force.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to develop and maintain integrated modernization plans and associated funding that support timely design maturation, material availability, installation planning, test execution, certification and fleet delivery.

You will integrate requirements and technical products among PMS 396/SP21, NAVSEA organizations, Fleet representatives, shipyards, warfare centers, In-Service Engineering Agents, technical authorities, logistics organizations, and industry partners.

You will assess modernization requirements for technical feasibility, operational impact, installation complexity, schedule risk, lifecycle supportability, and compatibility with submarine maintenance and modernization availabilities.

You will develop and track integrated schedules, action items, decision points, risks, and dependencies necessary to execute SWFTS modernization efforts on time and within available resources.

You will identify, analyze, and facilitate resolution of technical, programmatic, logistics, and installation issues that could affect modernization development or shipboard implementation.

You will coordinate the development and delivery of required technical documentation, engineering products, test procedures, maintenance requirements, training plans, provisioning, spare parts, and other integrated logistics support elements.

You will represent PMS 396/SP21 in technical reviews, planning conferences, modernization working groups, installation-readiness reviews, Fleet engagements, and other forums supporting strategic submarine modernization.

You will provide concise, decision-ready updates to leadership on modernization status, emerging issues, risks, resource requirements, and recommended courses of action.

You will support planning and programming activities, including development of resource requirements and inputs to the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes.

You will build durable working relationships across government, military, and contractor organizations to enable disciplined coordination and timely execution of SWFTS modernization objectives.
