Job description
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $26.00 - $28.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $26.00 - $44.20

nProperty Management supports a profitable business by ensuring that assets are well-maintained and functional, and services are completed on time while minimizing vendor cost. Property Management (PM) maintains physical assets and mitigates excess spending to ensure that our store teams can focus on serving our guests without distraction. PM also supports remodel efforts, executes new project sets and enables efficient front of store and backroom operations to delight our guests.

nnnIdentifying and safely executing preventive and corrective maintenance on all building assets and equipment
n
nnCompleting work within compliance standards and Target guidelines
n
nnWorking with vendors and influencing timely completion of their work
n
nnInfluencing store team to ensure project work aligns with PM priorities and financial goals
n
nnWorking with Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety Power Systems and Electrical equipment
n
nnUnderstanding repair versus replace and managing cost
n
n nAs a Property Management Lead no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
nnnConsistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
n
nnEnsures every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
n
nnActively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
n
nnReviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, takes action to improve, and aligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.
n
nnUtilize technology (e.g. Mobile Device, AI) to create, troubleshoot, prioritize, and safely complete work orders.
n
nnPerform preventive maintenance on building assets and equipment, including Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety Power Systems and Electrical.
n
nnFollow appropriate safety procedures and training, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment by identifying and correcting equipment safety hazards.
n
nnTeach and train store team to follow safety procedures.
n
nnIdentify and perform corrective maintenance on building assets.
n
nnInform and engage the store leadership team (including new leaders) on property management workload priorities, and share impacts of store processes on asset care, maintenance and functionality.
n
nnLead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined within team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
n
nnWith Property Management Business Partner guidance, evaluate store brand and ensure assets and vendor performance meets maintenance and functionality standards.
n
nnAssist in executing special projects, remodels and support PM assets and service strategies in partnership with store team.
n
nnEnsure internal and external work orders are completed safely and efficiently; vendors are accountable to do the same for work orders assigned/routed to them.
n
nnAssist in managing emergency situations as needed in partnership with store and field leaders.
n
nnDemonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences.

n nThe good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Property Management Lead. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
nnnHigh School diploma or equivalent
n
nnMust be 18 years of age or older
n
nn1+ years of technical education preferred in some of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing and/or experience working in any of the following areas: basic door repair, HVAC filter changing, carpentry, power equipment/mechanical repair and basic equipment troubleshooting
n
nnBasic technical skills and general experience working with property assets required
n
nnProficiency in operating power tools, HVAC, wet/dry vacuum and other powered equipment
n
nnStrong skills in managing vendor relationships, ensuring accountability, and achieving quality service results
n
nnEffective communication skills and the ability to use technology and multiple communication devices
n
nnManage workload and prioritize tasks independently and provide support to store team
n
nnAbility to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
n

nnScan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds without the assistance of others

nnFlexible work schedule that aligns to all operating hours (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); regular and prompt attendance necessary
n
nnAlthough the role is full-time, it does not come with a guarantee of 40 hours each week. Hours will depend on the needs of the business and may fluctuate as required
n
nnCapable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
n
nnAbility to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
