Job description
A client in the haircare space is looking to add 2 Quality Control Inspectors to their team, one supporting the East Coast and one supporting the West Coast. These individuals will be field-based and will travel to Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to ensure that every product meets the company's rigorous standards of excellence and safety. As the bridge between the brand and CMs, these individuals will be responsible for real-time oversight and rigorous physical testing of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
On Site Inspections: Visit local CMs according to the established production schedules and perform final product assessments
AQL Sampling: Execute inspections based on the Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards to determine the acceptability of production lots.
Physical and Functional testing: Perform hands-on testing according to specifications
Torque testing to ensure caps and pumps are applied correctly
Leakage testing to verify seal integrity
Aesthetic checks: Monitoring for fill levels, label alignment and packaging defects
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all manufacturing activities align with ISO 22716 and Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Non Conformance Management: Identifying deviations or non-conforming products immediately
Digital Reporting: Maintain accurate, real-time inspection logs using Google Forms and Excel/Google Sheets to provide visibility to the corporate Quality team.
Must Haves:
4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within personal care, cosmetics or beauty
Experience working with CMs, overseeing third party production and managing product quality in an outsourced environment
Regulatory knowledge: including ISO 22716 and Cosmetic GMP
Technical Skills: comfortable using measurement tools including torque meters and calipers and performing repetitive tasks with high prevision
Able to travel locally to various CM sites as scheduled
