nReside as a Rail Site Development Engineer for our Rail Team. Should be a highly driven employee who has excellent technical skills to assist on the rail site development design aspects as it relates to rail industrial development projects of all sizes.
nResponsibilities:
nnnWill direct and coordinate work associated with the study and/or design of civil site development infrastructure systems, including but not limited to rail and stormwater.
n
nnCoordination of activities of several disciplines may be required for projects of significant or moderate scope, or a combination of smaller projects.
n
nnProvide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
n
nnAssists with supervision of staff and task management on major projects.
n
nnRegularly coordinates with design team members, clients, sub-consultants, utility companies or other project stakeholders.
n
nnOther duties as assigned.
n
n nAdded Responsibilities:
nnnWork with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians in the site civil design and analysis as it relates to rail projects.
n
nnPerforms tasks requiring applications of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
n
nnStandard design of civil project work.
n
nnAssist task leaders and project managers with various project duties.
n
nnServe as a team member on multi-disciplined projects.
n
nnWorks with senior staff on technical aspects of a project.
n
n nQualifications
nnnBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program. and 7 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or
n
nnBachelor Degree in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. and 7 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required or
n
nnMaster Degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years civil engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred. Required
n
nnExpert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong computer skills (e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD), and/or hydraulic, hydrologic, pavement, civil analysis programs.
n
nnExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
nnExperience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
n
nnDemonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
n
nnStrong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
n
nnAbility to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications.
n
nnAbility to travel.
n
nnProfessional Engineer (PE) License Preferred
n
n nThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
