Job description
Seize the opportunity to put your patient care expertise to work as a skilled Respiratory Therapist. This contract role calls for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional ready to support individuals with respiratory conditions in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Schedule:
32 hours per week
Evenings, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
Qualifications: Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist
Previous clinical experience delivering respiratory care preferred
Proficient in the assessment and management of respiratory emergencies
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary medical teams
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities: Deliver therapeutic respiratory care and life support to patients with compromised lungs or breathing conditions
Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed
Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment
Conduct diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gases, to assess patients' respiratory status
Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations, providing critical interventions
Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapy techniques and home care
Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with facility protocols

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
