Remelt / Heavy Production HelperGrassland Dairy Products, Inc. has been a leading manufacturer of butter and dairy ingredients since 1904 and we are always looking to add to our team. May, at times, also provide relief support staff and general equipment operations throughout the print and packaging department. Works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6pm-6am.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, GMP's etc.Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats.Operate Rothenberg, chipping, bulk packer, and rework equipment (Melter/Sepamatic) at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands.Serve as relief/support staff to machine operators throughout the print and packaging department.Serve as relief/support staff for Par Room Forklift Operator.Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Summary of Benefits:Health & Dental Insurance - after 60 days of employment401(k) Retirement Plan – With 5% company match after 6 months of employmentVacation after 90 days of employmentHoliday Pay after 90 days of employmentShort-Term Disability & Life Insurance after 90 days of employmentEarned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)Bi-Weekly Pay through Direct DepositCompany-provided Group Term Life insurance coverageSafety Footwear ReimbursementProfessional Growth – Opportunities for training, advancement, and career developmentSummary of Pay: Compensation for this position ranges from $25.28 to $26.29, based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications will be taken into consideration.Position Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Attention to detail and good organizational skills.Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment.Basic understanding of equipment operations, and minor troubleshooting ability.Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.Able to understand daily production needs.Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for the Preventative ControlsQualified candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language.Education/Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Food manufacturing, material handling, and forklift operation experience is preferred.
