Job description

The Drexel Way: We don’t just sell lumber; we Supply. Happiness. Drexel is Team Member-owned and community-driven. With six retail hubs and three manufacturing plants across Wisconsin, we’ve been a Top Workplace every year since 2011. Why? Because we hire for heart and train for skill. When you join Team Blue, you aren't just a team member - you’re an owner.

The Mission: The Replenishment Specialist serves as the engine of our yard's efficiency. Your primary objective is to ensure that our forward-picking locations are always stocked. By working proactively rather than reactively, you enable our Order Pickers to work without interruption, directly driving our yard velocity and customer fulfillment.

Balance In Action:

We offer a predictable, seasonal schedule that rotates twice a year to match operational demand:Peak Season (April 1 – November 30): 2nd Shift 11:30 am-10:00 pm

Off-Peak Season (December 1 – March 30): 1st Shift 5:30 am - 4:00 pm

This position offers a unique, alternating schedule designed for work-life balance:

Week 1: Monday – Thursday (4-day weekend)

Week 2: Tuesday – Friday (2-day weekend)

Defining the Role :Proactive Replenishment: Proactively replenish all primary picking locations from backstock or overstock based on reports or walk-throughs.

Inventory Control: Manage proper stock rotation (FIFO), consolidate partial units, and perform regular cycle counts and location audits.

Returns Processing: Handle all material coming back into inventory from job sites, which includes stock returns, special order returns, and returns brought by customers.

Unloading Drivers: Unload returns from delivery trucks to ensure quick turnarounds for the Fleet team.

Liquidation/Toss Management: Process items that are not returned to the vendor (toss items) and actively manage the liquidation pile in coordination with the Inventory team.

Racking/Product Moves: Facilitate small product moves or racking changes, which includes executing the physical moves, making ERP updates, creating labels, and communicating properly to the team.

Yard Organization: Maintain overall yard cleanliness and safety standards.

What Success Looks Like: Your performance is measured by your direct impact on yard velocity and keeping the Order Pickers moving. The workload driver is a function of total yard velocity, which is a combination of inbound PO lines and outbound sales lines.

Picker Downtime: Measured by how often pickers wait for a location to be filled; the target is near zero.

Inventory Accuracy Rate: Maintaining high accuracy during cycle counts and bin audits.

Yard Organization & Safety Audit Scores: Ensuring the yard is clean, safe, and easily navigable.

The Drexel Advantage: The Wealth-Builder (Ownership) ESOP Shares: We don’t just work here; we own the place. You’ll earn a real stake in the company’s success.

Profit Sharing: When Drexel wins, our team wins.

401k: A solid foundation for your long-term retirement goals.

Health & Well-Being Comprehensive Coverage: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to keep you and your family \"weather-proof.\"

Fitness Reimbursements: Annual funds dedicated to your physical health and family activities.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential support when life gets complex.

Life & Legacy Immediate Paid Time Off: Start with Holiday and Vacation pay from day one.

Scholarship Program: We’re invested in the next generation—educational support for the children of our team members.

Annual Charity Match: We’ll double your impact on the causes you care about most.

The \"Drexel\" Lifestyle Birthday PTO: A paid day off to celebrate you.

Product Discounts: Special pricing on the high-quality materials we sell.

Plus More: A constant stream of \"fun little perks\" that make the yard a great place to be.
