Respiratory Therapist Per Diem Fair Lawn

Job Summary: Responsible for the delivery of respiratory care services to the in-patient, out-patient, clinic, and emergency room population. In addition, responsible for participation in and/or the development of departmental policy and procedure formulation and quality improvement activities.

Job Essentials: Responsible for the delivery of respiratory care services in an outpatient clinic setting.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Assures a high quality delivery of respiratory care services based on current knowledge and standards of practice in the field and guided by departmental policy and procedure.
Assures appropriate, efficient and accurate delivery of respiratory care services in varied levels of workload and conditions.
Understands and practices proper laboratory and testing skills and principles.
Communicates in a clear, direct, respectful and professional manner at all times; patient and work related information through shift report and other mechanisms.
Participates in new employee orientation and training.
Demonstrates safe and risk reduction practices in all activities, which includes adherence to policies and procedures, such as universal precautions (hand washing) and proper equipment cleaning.
Performs other duties as required.
Demonstrates ability to accept new assignment and challenges.
Participates in quality improvement activities.
Education Requirements: Associates or Bachelor's degree
License/Certification/Registry: NJ Licensed Respiratory Therapist

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources. Minimum rate: $45.00
