nPer Diem : Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm

n nWhat you will do:
nPerform diagnostic respiratory tests to diagnose lung disease and disorders.
nResponsibilities :
nnnPerforms diagnostic pulmonary function studies, cardiopulmonary stress tests, FeNO tests, hydrogen breath tests, methacholine challenge testing, arterial blood gasses, and 6MWT.
n
nnPerforms point of care testing with iSTAT and Hemocue devices.
n
nnAssist with the pretesting of pulmonary rehabilitation patients.
n
nnCalibrate and maintain equipment for quality and safety.
n
nnCommit to adherence of established ATS technical and operating standards for pulmonary function testing.
n
n nWhat you will need :
nnnA current license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of New York
n
nnCurrent RRT credentials through the National Board of Respiratory Care
n
nn1 year experience in a PFT lab with additional RRT-CPFT or RRT-RPFT credentialing is preferred.
n
nnMust possess the ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
n
nnMust be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written.
n
nnBLS and ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
n
nnFlexibility and willingness to float between SPHP locations as needed.
n
n nPay Range: $39.22 - $51.77
nPay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
