Position Summary
nCitrus Cardiology Consultants, PLLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician's Assistant (PA) to join our cardiology team, providing inpatient care alongside our providers across local hospitals in Citrus County. This role offers a collaborative environment working alongside board-certified cardiologists, with a focus on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.
nResponsibilities
nnPerform daily inpatient rounding on cardiology patients across affiliated hospitals
nConduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to guide clinical decision-making
nCollaborate with cardiologists, physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
nOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, EKGs, and imaging studies
nAdminister medications, including injections and IV infusions, in accordance with established protocols while ensuring patient safety
nParticipate in patient education, care coordination, and discharge planning
nUtilize electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks) to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
nEnsure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate, timely documentation for clinical, legal, and billing purposes
n nRequirements
nnActive APRN license in the state of Florida
nBoard certification as a Nurse Practitioner
nMinimum of 3 years of cardiology-related clinical experience (Clinical experience may include cardiac unit, cardiac ICU, Cath Lab, or similar settings)
nStrong clinical decision-making and communication skills
nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment
n nPreferred Skills:
nnExperience with inpatient cardiology rounding
nFamiliarity with cardiovascular procedures and post-procedure care
nProficiency with EMR systems
