Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience License: Vermont RRT License Certifications: BLS (AHA), NBRC Must-Have: Ability to work independently with invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Ability to draw ABGs and perform airway management, including assisting with intubations. Experience with various PAP modalities and high-flow oxygen. Willingness to learn new skills such as home sleep testing and pulmonary rehab. At least 6 months of previous travel experience. Cerner experience. Must have a personal vehicle.
Description: The registered respiratory therapist sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment. These are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases and illnesses. The therapist functions independently and may address varying degrees of problems in different patient care areas. The patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric. Travelers should be prepared to work during specific holiday periods. All requests for time off must be noted prior to submission. Travelers should also include any scheduling requests when submitting their profiles. Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor in advance to avoid contract termination.
