Job description
Safety/Traffic Controller
Position: Safety/Traffic Controller
Location: North High School
Start date: ASAP
Pay Scale: $1700 Stipend/Trimester
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of students, staff and motorists by directing traffic and pedestrian flow
Identify safety hazards
Collect information on vehicles that violate traffic rules
Other duties as assigned by building administration
Partner with school administration and district transportation
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or some college
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Effective communication skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to handle detailed information accurately.
Ability to maintain the security and privacy of all information, transactions and discussion of sensitive topics.
Considerable ability to work under pressure and address safety concerns as needed.
Ability to work independently with little work direction.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
