Job description

Saw OperatorA detail-oriented and safety-focused Saw Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating saws or similar equipment and will be responsible for reading production orders, setting up and operating saw machinery, and ensuring materials meet production and quality standards. This position plays a vital role in supporting our production process while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Key Responsibilities:Read production schedules and identify required materialsEnsure material meets specifications (grade, size, moisture content)Set up saw equipment according to job specificationsOperate saw to cut materials as needed, periodically checking output for accuracyOffload, stack, label, and band materials or finished products as requiredConduct pre-shift/startup equipment inspections and report any issuesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaComplete necessary production and quality recordsPerform lockout/tagout (LOTO) and basic preventive maintenance as requiredParticipate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and team meetingsFollow all company safety, quality, and operational proceduresPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 3 months experience operating saws or similar machinerySome experience in manufacturing or assembly preferredAbility to read and follow detailed instructions and production specificationsBasic math skills and mechanical aptitudeMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand, bend, twist, push/pull, and handle materials regularlyAbility to recognize material grades and ensure quality complianceMust be at least 18 years of ageCommitment to safety and adherence to protective equipment useWhat We Provide:All required PPE provided: safety glasses, ear protection, glovesHands-on training and supportClean and safety-oriented work environmentOpportunity to grow within a stable, well-established company
