Job description
Step into a key role supporting students as an occupational therapist within a school-based setting near Mountain View, CA. This contract opportunity is designed for a motivated professional eager to provide valuable services over 25 service days. Depending on your schedule and preference, fulfill the requirement through five consecutive weeks of full-time work or two days per week from as soon as possible through the end of the school year. In this role, your expertise will empower students to overcome functional challenges, fostering greater participation and independence in their educational environment. Compensation for this assignment falls within the range of $55-$65 per hour.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
Previous experience working with school-aged children in an educational or pediatric environment preferred
Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic school environment and varied student needs
Primary Responsibilities: Conduct thorough evaluations of students' motor, sensory, and functional needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' IEP goals
Provide direct and consultative services to students, teachers, and parents
Maintain detailed, timely records of all services provided
Contribute to IEP meetings, reports, and planning to ensure compliant and effective support
Adjust therapy plans as needed for success in academic settings
