Job description
Make an impact by supporting students' growth and success as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Southaven, MS! This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to fostering student independence and participation in their educational environment.
Key Skills and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) in the state of Mississippi
Prior experience in a schools or pediatric setting preferred
Familiarity with IEP development, therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Adaptability and creativity to tailor interventions for diverse student needs
Daily Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify students' needs within the educational context
Plan and implement individualized therapy sessions, focusing on skills that enhance classroom performance and daily activities
Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to develop and achieve student goals
Maintain timely and accurate records, including progress notes and IEP documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert guidance and recommendations
Support students with fine motor, sensory, self-care, and other adaptive skill development
