The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the centralized hub which manages the security and safety issues at our client's facilities. The Security Operations Center Operator provides outstanding customer service to all calling parties while being firm following all processes in place to achieve excellent outcomes.The Security Operations Center is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between safety and security departments.Responsibilities:Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systemsAnswer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilitiesMake emergency notifications necessary pursuant to policies and proceduresProactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs; monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarmsAnswer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies and non-emergency callsServe as the liaison between all departments and the security departmentHandle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed by proceduresQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicleMust possess one or more of the following:Military servicePOST Certified law enforcement experienceMinimum of two (2) years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911)Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable data entry experienceMinimum of three (3) years of verifiable private/corporate security experienceAdvanced computer skills and proficiency; proficiency with Google Applications; able to monitor and/or utilize multiple software programs at onceAbility to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to takeAbility to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressureAbility to prioritize workload based on urgencyAbility to communicate effectivelyExcellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate efficiently elevated stressful situationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to multitask efficientlyDemonstrated analytic and critical thinking skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAble to type 40+ words per minute with high level of accuracyAble to work flexible schedulesPreferred Qualifications:Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter fieldEight (8) or more years of active service in any military branchHeavy Customer Service Background - we are looking for highly motivated people who are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to our client, our employees, guests and visitorsBenefits:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insuranceCompany's retirement plansSeven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments; unused vacation is only paid out where required by law
