Security Officer$2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time!Career growth opportunities available with flexible scheduling!Cove Forge is seeking an experienced individual responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving our facility property.Salary: Starting at $15.00Benefits:Comprehensive benefit package401K + matchingPaid holidaysPaid time offShift differential for 2nd, 3rd and weekend shiftsThis position requires:HS diploma or GED requiredProfessional and courteous demeanorBasic computer knowledge for emails/chartingAcceptable driver's license preferred, but not requiredPurpose StatementResponsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.Essential FunctionsAssist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.Keep accurate log books, as required.Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.Other FunctionsPerform other functions and tasks as assigned.Education/Experience/Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Two or more years' experience in security, corrections or military.Licenses/Designations/CertificationsValid state driver's license.CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).First aid may be required based on state or facility.Additional regulatory requirements:While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.
