Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Control Operator in Flowery Branch, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor alarm panels, and support a welcoming environment for employees and guests. You will use computer or tablet systems, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while helping to deter security-related incidents. Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas of the retail and bakery location.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, loading zones, retail spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Document daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions in clear, accurate reports while communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
