As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. Allied Universal values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $21.07 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment.Monitor access points and observe visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly using required reporting processes.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid armed guard card or license.Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.Be able to work in a hospital morgue.Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
