As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $21.75 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeMon 10:00 AM - 08:00 PMThur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat 10:00 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery information as required.Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.An armed guard card or license is required.Customer service experience is preferred.Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
