As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $22.26 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Thur 06:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri 08:00 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and applicable laws.Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry as directed, while documenting observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports.Maintain professional communication with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.Minimum Requirements:Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.Possess an armed guard card or license.Possess a college degree.Possess a corrections officer license.Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.Possess a law enforcement officer license.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Florida State Security Agency License No. B Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
