Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to demonstrate integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Job Schedule:
Day Time Mon 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain awareness of changing conditions, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
