As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and supporting orderly site operations. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive access control practices. Join Allied Universal, where agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity guide our work.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $19.00 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entries, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, drivers, deliveries, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
