Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to a caring, innovative organization where your contributions make a meaningful difference.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and appropriate communication with site personnel.Minimum Requirements:An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
