Gloucester Marine Terminal JobThe Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.Job Description and DutiesGloucester Terminals LLC is a marine terminal located on the Delaware River across from Philadelphia, PA. Gloucester Terminals is seeking highly motivated individuals to work an entry level position. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, ever changing, drug free environment. Security experience a plus, high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Applicants must be able to follow/enforce security and safety rules that allow a safe and secure work place. Candidates should be able to resolve issues that deviate from the norm, and deescalate tension when issues arise.Individuals should possess the following qualities:Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicleWatch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsCommunicate by use of 2-way radios, telephones and computersSound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized personsWarn violators of rule infractions, such as trespassingPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exitsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsInvestigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activitiesProvide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerWhat We OfferWe believe that taking care of our team is just as important as the work we do.
