Job Skills / Requirements

Security Officer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

Job Summary: Seeking a reliable and experienced Security Officer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with monitoring the facility through regular vehicle or foot patrols and incident response. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and detect criminal activity and ensure the safety of the premises.

Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, providing assistance as needed.

Monitor and report any suspicious activity, security breaches, or hazards.

Write detailed and accurate reports on incidents and daily activities.

Communicate effectively with clients, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary.

Maintain a high level of visibility to deter potential threats and provide a sense of security.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as legal regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in a security role, preferably with vehicle patrol responsibilities.

Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.

Basic skills for report writing and communication.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and incidents.
