Retail Security Guard (Flex/On Call Part-Time)We are hiring a Retail Security Guard to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset.Location: Fashion Fair – Fresno, CAPay: $22.66/hourPosition Type: Part-TimeSchedule: Flex/On CallBenefits:Weekly payFlexible schedulingEmployee discountsEmployee Assistance Program (confidential support resources)Supportive work environment focused on well-beingKey Responsibilities:Security & Patrol:Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activityControl access points and manage pedestrian/vehicle trafficIdentify and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concernsRespond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidentsMonitoring & Reporting:Monitor CCTV cameras and security systemsComplete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentationMaintain awareness of surroundings at all timesSafety & Compliance:Follow all post orders, company policies, and safety proceduresMaintain knowledge of emergency response protocolsInspect property for safety risks (fire hazards, equipment issues, etc.)Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvementsCustomer Service:Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors in a professional mannerProvide directions and support as neededMaintain a visible, approachable presence on-siteQualifications:Required:Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situationsReliable, punctual, and able to follow directionsAbility to write clear and accurate reportsMust present a professional appearance and demeanorState Guard license is requiredPreferred:Prior security or customer-facing experienceFamiliarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systemsSkills & Attributes:High level of attentiveness and situational awarenessDependable and team-orientedAble to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic with a sense of urgencyWork Expectations:Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to workStay engaged and proactive throughout your shiftFollow all safety, training, and compliance requirementsAdditional Information:Duties may vary based on site needs. This role requires reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).Driver's License and a good driving record.Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.Minimum 2 years prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems.State Guard license is required.Flexible Availability
