Security Officer - Cannabis Grow Facility (Indoor Site)Armorous Security is seeking professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Security Officers to support a licensed cannabis cultivation facility. This is a 24/7 indoor assignment requiring strong accountability, consistent performance, and a high level of awareness. This is not a typical security post. Officers play a key role in protecting a high-value operation, maintaining safety, and supporting day-to-day site activity.Important Work Environment Notice:This position is located inside a marijuana grow facility.There is a constant, strong cannabis odor throughout the entire shiftThe smell will absorb into clothing and uniformsOfficers must be comfortable working indoors for the full 8-hour shiftBreaks are taken on-siteCandidates who are not comfortable with these conditions should not apply.Shifts/Schedule: Saturday - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sunday - 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM + Opportunity for additional shiftsKey Responsibilities:Maintain a 100% indoor post and monitor site activityConduct regular foot patrols (Around 3 miles per shift)Monitor for water leaks and facility issues (critical responsibility)Operate alarm systems, fire panels, and respond to alertsUse Zello and other communication tools to coordinate with staffMonitor cameras and capture/report video when neededControl access and check in/out staff and visitorsComplete detailed reports and communicate with site contactsRemain alert and proactive at all timesSecurity Guard Qualifications:Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).Current with BSIS Compliance i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate32-hour continuing education certificatesAbility to work in an environment with a strong cannabis odor throughout entire 8-hour shiftExcellent communication and conflict resolution skillsProven reliability and strong attendanceAbility to hold officers accountable while maintaining a positive team environmentHigh level of integrity in a high-value environmentProactive mindset (not prone to complacency)Comfortable using technology, reporting systems, and communication appsPreferred Experience:Prior security experience (required)Experience in cannabis industry (highly preferred)Experience with alarms, surveillance systems, and reporting toolsWhy Join Armorous?Award-Winning Company – Voted Best Security Company in the North Bay!
