Shipping ClerkLocation: Carrollton, TXType: Temp-to-HirePay: $16.50-$17/hourPosition Summary The Shipping Clerk plays a key role in ensuring efficient handling of outgoing shipments, supporting shipping operations with accuracy and attention to detail. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and prepare customer orders for shipmentVerify order accuracy, quantities, and shipping informationGenerate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documentsCoordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight companiesSchedule pickups and deliveries with transportation providersMaintain accurate shipping records and update ERP/WMS systemsTrack shipments and provide status updates to customers or internal teamsEnsure all shipments meet company and carrier requirementsInspect packages to confirm proper labeling and packaging standardsCommunicate with warehouse, production, customer service, and purchasing teams regarding order statusResolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or damaged shipment issuesFollow workplace safety procedures and company policiesMaintain a clean and organized shipping areaQualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Strong problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Basic math skills.Basic computer skills with the ability to operate the company's systems of recordKey Traits for SuccessComfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.Proactive and dependable with a strong sense of ownership.Upholds and supports organizational goals and values.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $16.50 - $17.00
