Job description
Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control OperatorThe Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Control Operator is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of all materials, ensuring system inventory matches physical inventory at all times. This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability through strict adherence to scanning, verification, documentation, and cycle counting processes.Maintain real-time alignment between physical inventory and system recordsAs needed, perform cycle counts and support full physical inventoriesInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptlyEnsure all movements are recorded using RF scannersValidate item, quantity, lot code, Expiration Date, and location during transactionsEscalate unresolved discrepanciesVerify inbound shipments against purchase ordersPerform 3-way verification (PO vs. physical vs. system)Receive materials using RF scanningApply and verify labelsReport shortages or damagesVerify outbound shipments against pick listsEnsure 100% scan complianceFollow FIFO/FEFO rotationPrevent incorrect shipmentsOperate forklift safelyExecute product movements using RF scannersMaintain location controlStage materials accuratelyMaintain clean and organized storage areasFollow FIFO/FEFO standardsComply with GMP and safety proceduresReport food safety or quality issuesComplete system transactions and logs accuratelyMaintain shipment documentationEnsure real-time system updatesInventory accuracy ? 99%100% scan complianceTimely cycle countsZero unreported variancesWarehouse or inventory control experienceWMS/ERP knowledge preferredRF scanner experience and computer entry requiredForklift experience requiredStrong attention to detailLift up to 50 poundsWork in freezer conditionsFrequent physical movement
