Job description
The warehouse of the future contains high-density, high-precision racking with automated pallet shuttles (like our atlas 1D ) instead of wide aisles that forklifts need to pass through.
Our customers benefit from much better utilization of their warehouses (up to 70% more pallet storage than traditional rack!), maximized vertical space, improved accuracy in pallet selection, and minimized labor costs and product damage.
Over the span of more than 40 years, we’ve grown into a company with 10 manufacturing facilities, 19 commercial offices, and the know-how of around 2000 employees serving customers in 40 countries.
We Rack the World. Early 2021, we opened our first U.S. Office in Romeoville, IL and we have already grown to over 70 employees. We are also soon opening our first stow manufacturing plant in the greater Atlanta area to serve our current and future customer base.It's exciting times to be at stow!

Job Description
The Site Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of on-site project activities, from mobilization through commissioning and final acceptance. This role leads all field operations, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality installation of automated material handling systems while acting as the primary on-site interface with the customer.
This position is a key member of the project leadership team and drives coordination across engineering, controls, commissioning, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site project activities from mobilization through commissioning and demobilization
Manage installation and integration of automated systems (shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, robotics)
Drive daily execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets
Act as the on-site decision maker and escalation point
Safety & Compliance
Own site safety program and enforce all safety standards (OSHA / local regulations)
Conduct daily safety walks, toolbox talks, and audits
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety procedures
Planning & Schedule Management
Develop and manage short-term and look-ahead schedules
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Identify risks early and implement mitigation actions
Track progress vs. plan and adjust execution strategy
Serve as primary on-site contact for the customer
Lead coordination meetings
Communicate progress, risks, and recovery plans
Installation & Quality Management
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation
Ensure installation meets engineering specifications
Manage punch lists and inspections
Coordinate transition to commissioning teams
Support testing, validation, and acceptance
Lead site closeout and documentation
Reporting & Controls
Produce site reports (progress, risks, safety)
Track budget, productivity, and materials
Maintain documentation and support forecasting
Qualifications
5+ years in site management, construction, or industrial installation
Experience with automated material handling systems or robotics
Proven leadership of field teams and subcontractors
The travel percentage will vary depending on project lifecycle, it should average at 60 to 90% across the year.

Salary Range: $90to $122k
