Job description
Teacher Of Social Studies Grades 6-8
Requirements: Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Social Studies or Subject Matter Specialization in Social Studies 5-8) Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for Social Studies Knowledge/Experience with Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus) Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow department members Willingness to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Understands importance of utilizing primary sources and various literacy strategies (within the social studies classroom) Background with implementation of Google Apps for Education (to enhance teaching and learning) Knowledge of best practices in middle level education Bilingual (a plus) Effective: School Year Salary: As per salary guide based on experience and earned degree level Minimum $67,958 - maximum $99,181 Benefits: In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package: including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
