Job description
Our client, an established global investment management firm, is looking for a junior-to-mid-level Software Developer to join its Trading Technology team. The role mainly involves maintaining, enhancing, and supporting critical Windows client and server applications, along with contributing to new development projects. Partner with developers and business users, mainly on the quantitative trading side, to gather requirements and scope projects Maintain and enhance existing Windows client and server applications, and contribute to new builds Review existing systems for opportunities to improve robustness and performance Carry out unit, integration, and functional testing Support business-critical pre-trade signal and order generation systems through UAT and production, with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and timely processing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
1-5 years of software development experience. Strong recent graduates with relevant internship, academic, or project work are also encouraged to apply. Financial services experience is not required.
Strong object-oriented programming skills. C# is preferred, but strong Java, Python, or other modern-language developers will be considered.
Experience with or solid knowledge of concurrency, automated unit testing, and SQL
Close attention to detail and a commitment to reliable, well-tested software
Nice to have: event-driven architecture or messaging, F#, or functional programming
