Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 + Benefits
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team of a highly regarded upscale/fine-dining restaurant in Charlotte. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven culinary professional who thrives in a high-volume, scratch-kitchen environment and takes pride in exceptional food and execution.
What You'll Do
Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and service
Lead, train, and develop the culinary team
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency
Oversee prep, line execution, sanitation, and kitchen organization
Assist with food cost, inventory, ordering, labor, and waste management
Ensure smooth execution during high-volume services
Help create a professional, positive, and accountable kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
3+ years of culinary leadership experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine
Upscale or fine-dining restaurant experience
Strong scratch-kitchen and high-volume background
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
Solid understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and food safety
Hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality and culinary excellence
Compensation & Benefits
$75,000-$85,000 base salary
