Job description

Key Qualifications & Experience:
State certification as a Special Education Teacher
Minimum one year of recent experience in a Special Education teaching role
Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies, IEP development, and differentiated instruction
Strong organizational and communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and administrators
Ability to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Proficiency in progress monitoring and data collection to support student growth
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs
Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies based on assessment results
Foster an encouraging classroom atmosphere that emphasizes acceptance, respect, and achievement
Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and strategies for success
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and student support initiatives
