What You'll Do
Evaluate residents to determine speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate residents and caregivers on aspiration prevention, communication strategies, and maintenance programs
Participate in care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and utilization reviews
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
Supervise Clinical Fellows (CFY) and students as applicable
Assist with staff education and restorative nursing training
Help residents maximize independence, safety, and quality of life
Qualifications
Current California Speech Language Pathologist License
New grads encouraged to apply
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred
CPR Certification if required by licensure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
Familiarity with Net Health and Point Click Care is a plus
