nResponsibilities
nWe are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team in Waxahachie.
nApplicants must have at least 1 year of full-time neonatal intensive care unit experience with demonstrated competence in all gestational ages and MBSS competency for the ability to work both NICU and adults.
nnnPerform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units

nnParticipate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments
n
nnDocument timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
n
nnCompleting patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate
n
nnContribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team

n nQualifications
nMinimum Qualifications
nnnCurrent state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
n
nnCurrent Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
n
nnCertified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
