Role Description
The Store Manager role at Sally Beauty in La Crosse, WI is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing daily store operations and leading a team to deliver an excellent customer experience. The Store Manager coordinates staffing, supervises and coaches team members, and ensures adherence to company policies, visual merchandising standards, and operational procedures. This role manages inventory and stock levels, monitors sales performance, and implements local marketing and promotional activities to achieve revenue and profitability goals. The Store Manager handles scheduling, cash management, and basic administrative tasks, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment. The role also involves building product knowledge, supporting professional and retail customers, and partnering with regional leadership on store initiatives and performance improvement.
Qualifications
Experience in retail or specialty store management, including supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
Skills in customer service, client relationship building, and resolving issues in a professional and inclusive manner.
Competence in sales, merchandising, and basic inventory control, with the ability to analyze store performance and support sales goals.
Strong communication, coaching, and team-building skills to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
Ability to work on-site full time in La Crosse, WI, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
Basic math and computer skills, including use of point-of-sale systems and standard office software.
Prior experience in beauty retail or product-based environments is beneficial; interest in beauty and professional products is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or training in business, retail management, or related fields is an advantage.
