Substitute CustodianUnder the general supervision of the Head of Maintenance the Substitute Custodians are responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the school.This position reports to the Head of Maintenance.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas of building according to school district standards.Performs tasks to maintain buildings and grounds in safe and operable condition, such as making minor repairs to property as requested, clearing snow and ice, and related tasks.Sweeps, scrubs, mops and waxes floors.Vacuums and shampoos carpets as required.Cleans restrooms.Washes windows and glass doors.Empty and clean trash receptacles.Pick up litter in and around buildings.Minor repairs.Replenishing supplies.Other duties as assigned.Required Education And/Or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
