Superintendent Manager, Cut and SewHot JobCentury Chair Plant 3 - Hickory, NC 28601OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionThe Cut and Sew Superintendent Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of a Cutting and a Sewing Department.Essential DutiesManage all aspects of Cut and Sew departments with the assistance of managersMaintain quality control standards, safety standards, and labor efficienciesWork closely with the upholstery floor to resolve any quality or production issuesIdentify and address fabric and leather issues working through our Purchasing DepartmentMust follow all safety policies and proceduresAll other duties as assignedQualificationsPosition RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferred5 years+ as a Cut and Sew Superintendent in an upholstered furniture factoryAbility to work with all levels of the companyExcel, Word, and SAP skills are requiredTechnical knowledge of cutting and sewing operationsKnowledge of Fabric and Leather standardsExcellent written and oral communication skillsSolid understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniquesPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
