Job description
The Tax team is expanding, and the organization is seeking a Tax Manager to support growing business needs at its headquarters location in Willoughby, OH .
What You Will Do
Oversee indirect tax compliance, including sales & use , excise , and personal property tax
Lead audits, reverse audits, and settlement negotiations
Support tax planning and research for ongoing business initiatives
Deliver internal training related to tax impacts on purchasing and sales
Conduct detailed tax research as needed
Develop and mentor indirect tax staff
Skills and Experience Needed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
Minimum 5 years of U.S. indirect tax experience
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience (team lead, project lead, people leadership, etc.)
Ability to manage large volumes of return filings and meet strict deadlines
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities
Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a flexible, collaborative environment
Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally
What Will Help You Stand Out
Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation
Experience in the manufacturing sector
Demonstrated ability in people development
SAP experience
Experience with tax engines such as Vertex
Exposure to tax incentives, government affairs, or excise/Superfund tax
