Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides supportive rehabilitative care to patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. They assist in implementing treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and function.
Responsibilities:
Assist in administering physical therapy treatments and modalities according to prescribed plans.
Monitor and document patient responses and progress during therapy sessions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
Collaborate with the therapy team to modify treatments based on patient needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications: Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Proven experience in providing patient care within a SNF or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and rehabilitative techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Certified CPR/BLS provider.
