Job Description
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements. You will measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble structural steel and metal components according to established specifications and tolerances, operating fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble structural steel and metal components.
Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, presses, ironworkers, drill presses, plasma cutters, grinders, and other metalworking machinery.
Prepare materials for welding by fitting, beveling, cleaning, and aligning components.
Perform layout and fit-up activities to ensure dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
Inspect fabricated parts for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
Essential Skills
Welding (TIG, MIG, Stick) Must have TIG experience to be considered for this role
Fabrication
Blueprint reading
Welding proficiency
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of structural fabrication, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, blueprints, and shop sketches.
Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels.
Knowledge of structural steel fabrication techniques and practices.
Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment and material-handling devices.

Work Environment
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with the ability to move throughout the plant site and production buildings. Regularly required to descend and ascend stairs, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and crawl. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is necessary.
