Tool And Die Tech -3rd Shift Union, SCLocation: US Gestamp South CarolinaRole Summary: To perform maintenance, service, and repair work on large and small tool & dies regarding engineering changes and improvements.Key Responsibilities:General drilling and tapping, milling, turning, and grinding - cylindrical & surface - in the tool room.Service work on all dies in the Press Shop.Repair in the press during failure.Ensure quality of press parts by optimized die maintenance.Responsible for spare parts stockServicing of dies with stamping nuts and supportive equipment.PM (Preventive Maintenance on Tooling)Re-construction of dies: turning, milling, drilling, and grindingSpotting of dies MIG, TIG, Stick weldingEducation & Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent; requiredToolmaker Apprenticeship/Journeyman preferredAssociate degree in machining preferredKey Qualifications/Requirements:Minimum of Five (5) years automotive tool & die experience preferredClass A automotive experience preferredKnowledge in pneumaticsExperience with nut setting equipmentStandard parts MIG, TIG, Stick welding, hard brazingBasic CAD drawing knowledgeMetric SystemBasic knowledge of press operationWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and seek to hire the best candidate regardless of age, beliefs, disability, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.About Us:We are a multi-technology company present in over 20 countries and our team of over 40,000 is made up of 90 different nationalities.
