ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
Position Details Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirements: Self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
Holiday Requirements: Yes
Unit Information Unit Type: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Number of Beds: 10
Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2
Responsibilities The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
Providing critical care and supporting patients with various conditions including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injuries, extremity pain, and insulin gtt administration.
Titrating drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, and metabolic medications.
Floating to other units as needed, including PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele, and assisting as a CNA if required.
Collaborating with healthcare teams, including Hospitalists or Intensivists present in-house.
Qualifications Years of Experience Required: 2 years in a critical care setting
Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
Experience with Titration: Required
Ability to Read Telemetry Strips: Required; telemetry monitoring tech available 24/7
Additional Information This position involves participation in a unit-specific orientation program. Please be prepared to be on-site for this training. Scrub color is navy blue.
Successful candidates will be experienced ICU RNs who can provide exceptional patient care in a high-stakes environment.
