Travel Lathe MachinistMust work in Grantsburg, WI - must be able to travel and stay in WI for work.Job DescriptionAs a Lathe Machinist, you will operate a variety of CNC lathes, ensuring the production of precision parts in accordance with print specifications. Your responsibilities will include reading blueprints and CAD/CAM programs, selecting and setting tooling and offsets, performing first-article inspections, monitoring run conditions, and documenting production data.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain CNC lathe machines with fanuc or siemens controls to produce precision parts.Ability to learn Screw MachinesRead and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM programs.Select and set tooling and offsets for machines.Perform first-article inspections to ensure accuracy.Monitor run conditions and make necessary adjustments.Document production data accurately.Essential SkillsExperience with CNC Lathe Machining.Proficiency in blueprint reading.Ability to edit G&M codes.Experience in multi-spindle turning.Capability to fully set up machines from start to finish.Additional Skills & QualificationsMulti-spindle experience, ideally 6-8 years.Ability to edit programs at the machine utilizing G&M codes.Work EnvironmentWork in a typical machine shop setting on either the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or the 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
