Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN Clinical Observation Unit in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, with a focus on clinical observation and ensuring safety and support for patients. The position requires adaptability to unit needs, including holiday work and weekend shifts, and contributes to a culture of support, especially for students and new hires.
Job Details
Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, ending on Saturdays.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, two years of experience as a medical surgical registered nurse, and current skills checklist. Must have worked within the last 2 years and be able to explain all employment gaps over 90 days. Copy of Nursys/license required.
Position Description: Work in a Medical Surgical Clinical Observation Unit with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6. Responsibilities include charge nurse duties, with potential for pay differential and training. The assignment begins on 11/16/2026 with a start date of 11/16/2026 and ends on 02/13/2027.
Additional Information: First-time travelers are approved through the end of January; candidates must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day). Limited requested time off and RTO must be included at submission. Client may cancel assignments with up to 36 hours notice due to census fluctuations. Expect interaction with students and new hires, contributing to a supportive team environment.
