Job Summary
nWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
n Provide primary care nursing for patients with a variety of conditions including diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), gastrointestinal (GI) bleeds, renal failure, and postoperative recovery.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in their health status, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and ensure positive outcomes.
Assist in complex procedures including dialysis, wound care, and management of various medical devices.
Participate in patient education and promote adherence to treatment plans.
n Qualifications
n Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, including at least 1 travel assignment.
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS certification is preferred.
Must have experience in a high-acuity medical surgical setting, preferably in a larger organization with fast turnaround rates.
Ability to manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6 effectively.
Commitment to patient safety, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
n Shift Information
nThis position requires availability for 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, including every other weekend.
Additional Information
n Candidates must adhere to strict attendance policies and professional appearance standards, including guidelines regarding nail treatments and personal items at the nurses' station.
Experience with acute care and cardiology preferred.
Willingness to rotate assignments with permanent staff as needed.
