Job Summary:
nOncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Oncology Floor in a healthcare facility located in Wausau, WI. This role involves providing specialized care to surgical and medical oncology patients within a fast-paced medical surgical oncology unit. The position begins on October 19, 2026, and runs for approximately 13 weeks, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
nJob Details:
nnSchedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
nRequired Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS certification, minimum of 2+ years of experience, oncology experience required. Chemo certification is mandatory. Minimum of 1 year experience on a Medical Surgical Oncology (MSO) unit preferred. Must have previous electronic charting experience; Epic EMR experience preferred.
nPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
nFloat: Float rotation may be required to other areas as needed, including in four-hour blocks, before staff RNs.
nAdditional Information:nnThe unit primarily cares for surgical and medical oncology patients with patient ratios ranging from 4:1 to 7:1 during night shifts, with always available tech support.
nThe role includes working every other weekend and holiday rotation.
nDuring flu season, vaccination compliance is mandatory, with masks required for those declining vaccination.
